Edible Homemade WoRmS!!

Share With Your Friends

Edible Jello Worms are a BIG hit for a Halloween Dinner.

Get your straws here: http://goo.gl/Uu0EX

(My thoughts: I think you could probably just use the straws at Dollar Tree possibly?  I don't see why not.)

Ingredients:
100 flexible plastic straws
(The straws with a bendable neck make the most realistic worms by adding ridges to the worm. Place bendable necks of straws at the bottom of the container).
an empty, cleaned 1-quart milk or orange juice carton to hold straws.
(The straws will fill up to the height of the container, the taller the better.)
1 package (6 ounces) raspberry or grape flavor gelatin
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
3 cups boiling water
3/4 cup whipping cream
12 to 15 drops green food coloring
waxed paper
Instructions:

1. Combine gelatins in a bowl and add boiling water; stir until gelatins completely dissolve. Chill until lukewarm, about 20 min.

2. Meanwhile, gently pull straws to extend to full length; place in tall container. Wrap together with a loose rubber band to hold straws together.

3. Blend cream and food coloring with the lukewarm gelatin mixture. Carefully pour into container, filling straws.
4. Chill until gelatin is firm, at least 8 hours, or cover and chill up to 2 days.

5. Pull straws from container or, if you’re using a carton, simply tear the carton away from the filled straws. Pull straws apart. Run hot tap water for about 2 seconds over 3 to 4 straws at a time. Starting at the empty ends, push worms from straws with rolling pin, or use your fingers.

6. Lay worms on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Cover and chill until ready to use, at least 1 hour or up to 2 days. Worms will hold at room temperature for about 2 hours.

Hanging Plant waterer

Water Reservoir For Hanging Flower or Herbs Basket

Clean toilet concotion.

I use this method to clean the toilets. The kids love it and it works great!

Toilet bomb

1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup vinegar
about 10 drops of essential oil ( I like lemon or tea tree oil)

Add the baking soda to the toilet water, swish it around and let it dissolve. Then add the essential oil and last, the vinegar. The kids love to watch it bubble up! Then scrub the toilet and viola! You can also just combine all the ingredients in a large jar and then quickly pour it all in the toilet but I find that my kids get so excited that they end up in my way and I end up with a mess .

This is also a great way to unclog a drain!

Hanging flower jar

For flowers or herbs next to the kitchen sink/window. I love this idea! Just wrap wire around the neck of the bottle repeatedly leaving a loop. Hang the loop on a small extended brace. The jar can be removed to change water or add flowers.   Bring color into your life.... enjoy

I was thinking....

So there is a AWESOME amount of great ideas that are on Facebook, yet a lot of them are not pinnable onto Pinterest because it won't pin Facebook.  So I was thinking of adding them to this blog, then I can pin them to Pinterest and have them for future reference.  I will always give credit to where I found it of course.

So what do you think???
